Fish, eggs and beans

Hair is mainly made up of protein. Eating a diet high in protein is good for you. However you can’t be eating fatty steaks. You want to stick with the leaner proteins. Other examples of protein foods to help with your prevention in hair loss include; chicken, low-fat cheese, almonds etc.

Raisins

Raisins and other dried fruits are packed with iron. Iron is extremely important in the production of hemoglobin which carries oxygen to your body’s organs and tissues. Having a healthy dose of iron means your scalp is getting enough blood flow which stimulates and promotes the growth of hair. If you are looking for other ways to get iron into your diet you can eat liver, eggs, dark green and leafy vegetables, whole grain cereals etc.

Bean Sprouts

If you haven’t heard of the work Silica then it’s time to add it to your dictionary especially if you are looking to help with hair growth and stop hair loss. The body uses silica to help it absorb any vitamins and minerals if you aren’t eating silica eating your vitamins might not be as beneficial. To get your dose of silica eat bean sprouts, green peppers, potatoes etc.

Seafood

If you are suffering from hair loss there is a good chance you are suffering from  zinc deficiencies. Not only is zinc important in your body functions but it also manages the glands that are attached to your hair follicles. When you are low on zinc this causes strands to break or fall off. To fight this problem eat things like mussels, shrimp and oysters.
