Marisa Tomei
Marisa Tomei was born in Brooklyn New York in 1964. After he parents had her brother the family moved to Manhattan to take up a bigger residence. Her parents both deeply committed to their work often left them in the care of their grandmother. Marisa grew close to her grandmother who had a hand in launching her acting career. She took part in the drama productions of her school and often looked in the classifieds for auditions. Her grandmother set her up with an agent and soon after Marisa got her first role on As the World Turns at the same time she also made appearances on One Life to Live. Her first movie role came in the form of a bit part in the Flamingo Kid and in 1985 she had another bit part in The Toxic Avenger. In 1992 she won a leading role in the movie My Cousin Vinny. That was followed by numerous failed projects. Marisa was able to reestablish herself by appearing in The Watcher and What Women Want. She has since appeared in other successful roles including Anger Management, Before the Devil Knows your Dead, Wild Hogs and the Wrestler to name a few.
