Famke Janssen
Famke Janssen was born in Amsterdam Netherlands in 1965. In 1984 she moved to New York City where she was signed on with the Elite Modeling Agency but continued to study writing and literature at Columbia University. Wanting to get into acting Famke moved to Los Angeles and in 1992 she had her first role in the film Father& Sons. Due to the films poor performance she wasn’t getting a lot of roles but she was offered a part on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. In 1994 she had an appearance on Melrose Place and a role on a TV movie Model by Day. In 1995 she got the leading female role in Lord of Illusions. It was also that year she had a role in the Bond film Golden Eye opposite Pierce Brosnan. After Golden Eye Famke decided to work on less mainstream movies and had roles in Dead Girl, City of Industry, RPM, Snitch, Celebrity Rounders, and the Faculty. In 1995 she married director Tod Williams but the two later divorced in 2000. Famke has written a screenplay but hasn’t done anything with it she is also fluent in German, French, English, and Dutch. In 2000 Famke was skyrocketed to Stardom with her role in the X-men. She has since starred in several other movies and the TV show Nip/Tuck.
