Faith Hill

Faith began to sing at an early age and showcased her talent family gatherings and local events. At age 19 she moved to Nashville in hopes of making it as a star. Faith got her break when she was at work at a publishing company. One of the writers caught her singing and convinced her to create a demo tape. Soon Faith met songwriter Gary Burr and became one of his backup singers. A representative of Warner Bros heard her sing at one of Gary’s shows and the company quickly signed her. Her first album Take Me As I am was released in 1993 and was a big hit. In 1995 she released her second album It Matters to Me which went 4x platinum. Soon after she began touring with Tim McGraw the two fell in love and faith called off her engagement to her former producer. Tim and Faith were married in 1996 and have 3 daughters. In 1998 Faith gravitated towards more of a pop sound and released her 3rd album Faith. The following year she would go on to release her 4th album Breath. In 2000 Faith and Tim went on tour together and it proved to be one of the most successful tours of the year. In 2004 she decided to try out acting and was in the movie the Stepford Wives. Faith decided she wanted to go back to music and released Fireflies. In 2006 she and Tim went on tour again and it was recorded as the highest grossing country music tour of all time. That same year Faith was under scrutiny for making angry faces when Carrie Underwood won Female Vocalist of the Year. Faith later claimed it was just a joke.
