Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson was born in Waco Texas in 1984. She is the younger sister of singer/actress Jessica Simpson. Ashlee started to dance when she was only 4 years old and by the time she was 11 she was the youngest person to enter into the prestigious School of American Ballet and by age 14 she started dancing professionally. She went on the road during her sister’s rise to fame well dreaming of eventually starting her own singing career. In 2001 she appeared on numerous TV shows including Malcolm in the Middle, Saved by the Bell, The Donny & Marie Show, and many others. Her big break came when she got a role on the TV drama 7th Heaven. In 2003 she signed a contract to create her first album. Her father suggested she create a reality show which could be about the making of her album and in 2004 The Ashlee Simpson Show premiered on MTV. A month later she released the album Autobiography. Later that year Ashlee was set to perform on SNL but it proved to be an embarrassment when a technical difficulty made it known she was lip-synching. In 2005 she released her album I am Me. Ashlee married Pete Wentz and in 2008 gave birth to their first child a baby boy.
