Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys was born in New York City in 1980. At age 5 she guest starred on the Cosby show. Two years later she began to practice piano. It was obvious to anyone that could hear her that she had a love and passion for playing the piano and by age 16 she graduated valedictorian of New York’s Prestigious Performing Arts School. She was then signed to J records by Clive Davis. In 2001 she released her debut album “Song’s in a Mirror which became an immediate hit to fans and critics, and her talent was recognized with 5 Grammy Awards. In 2003 she released “The Diary of Alicia Keys.” It debuted as number one on the billboard charts and went on to win Alicia another Grammy. She has since had roles in films like Smokin’ Aces, Nanny Diaries, and the Secret Life of Bees.
